We Must Pray!
Beloved, this year 2012, God has promised us all manners of blessings, for the promises to be fulfilled, we need to prepare for battle. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]”. Ephesians 6:12
It is war against unseen forces, internal and external forces. The internal forces are of the works of the flesh which we need to deal with personally. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God”. Gal 5:19-21. The external enemies God can deal with, with or without us.
To be able to bring to physical manifestation all the promises of God after the prophecies have been given, we need to pray. After Elijah gave the prophesy of the sound of abundance, he never went to sleep, he prayed. “And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for [there is] a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, [There is] nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare [thy chariot], and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not”. I Kings 17:41-44.
You need to be prepared to PUSH (Pray Until Something Happen). It is not just praying for the fun of it but praying purposefully and with a target. Every of the battle the children of Israel engaged in, was with a target, and they waited on God to receive instructions and for each of the battle , God told them what to do.
This year, not only will you pray, but you will wait on God to hear what he will say “I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly”. Psalms. 85:8.
This year you will enjoy sweet victory and it shall be well with you in Jesus name.
