Seeking Him!
This is another season to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, a season to rejoice and count our blessings. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ did not only come with physical blessings, but also spiritual blessings and victory in all areas of life. “The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. (KJV) I Cor. 15:56-57
After Adam and Eve sinned, God spoke and said “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel”. (KJV) Gen 3:15. The birth of Jesus brought salvation, joy and good tidings to mankind. “ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord”. (KJV) Luke 2:10-11
This is why anyone who is wise will seek Him with all his or her heart. There was no room for Jesus in the inn, but will He find a room in your heart this day as we celebrate His birth?
The shepherd responded to the goodness about the birth of Jesus by running to Bethlehem to worship. They returned to their fields glorifying and praising God. “ And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them”. (KJV) Luke 2:20. Coming face to face with the Son inspired the shepherds to worship the Father, let the reality of this season inspire a new and higher level of worship in you.
According to Bible scholars, the wise men embarked on a journey of 2 years to seek the King of kings; this season, prepare your heart to seek Him more than ever before, lay your trophies at His feet because He deserves all the honour, praise and adoration. As you take time to seek the Lord, He will cause it to rain on you and it shall be well with you.
Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad!
