Expect the Great!

Sunday, 19th May, 2013
Beloved, I welcome you to this glorious service. What you say is what you see and what you see is what you get. God is a faithful God who does not need to ask for permission from man before He blesses you. He made a promise to Abraham and even when it is appeared practically impossible, He fulfilled the promise. Abraham was able to visualize the promise and he eventually carried his joy. "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the Lordbrought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it." (KJV) Genesis 15:5-7.

Proper steps to marriage

Brethren, marriage is the legal relationship between a man and a woman that lasts for a lifetime. The steps taken before going into marriage are very important to prevent pitfalls. "And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man." (KJV) Genesis 2:21-22. In knowing God's will therefore you do not have to rely on vague hunches and weird rituals. As a child of God you have His word, His Spirit within you and His men to guide and counsel you worthily.

Also, Christian courtship is a period before marriage, when a Christian brother and sister agree on so many issues; it is a time when they see if they both share the same vision, hope and aspiration about marriage. Christian courtship involves two people that have agreed to walk together in the direction of marriage. "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (KJV) Amos 3:3.

Before any journey is embarked upon, you need to be adequately prepared, so marriage is not for the unprepared; proper preparation must precede marital union. Many people prepare more for the wedding ceremony more than the marriage itself. Preparation for marriage is a process one must undertake in order to have a successful marital future; which entails spiritual maturity, physical maturity, mental stability, emotional stability and economic stability.

The devil is attacking marriage by keeping husband and wife apart from praying together; they can do all things together but pray. But remember, when you pray together, you will surely stay together; pray about all things and pray for all things. "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." (KJV) Matthew 18:19
